With BDA units 1 metre free space must
also be left clear to the right of the unit in
order to allow access to the compressors

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
FRAME constructed from steel tube
welded to 2 mm thick steel box section
base, painted with RAL 7021 (dark grey)
epoxy powder.
CONTOUR PANELS in 1,2 mm steel
sheet, painted with RAL 9001 (cream
colour) epoxy powder and lined with
acoustic and thermal self-extinguishing
insulation, dust and fibre-free. The front
doors are fixed to the frame with quick
release fasteners.
REMOVABLE INTERNAL PANELS
lined with acoustic insulation isolating all
compartments affected by the airstream
in order to:
- decrease the overall noise level;
- ensure air tightness even when the front
doors are open;
- allow checks on internal components
with the unit in operation.
SIDE COMPARTMENT, containing the
electrical panel, the humidifier and all the
refrigeration components, separated from
the air stream for ease of maintenance
without disturbing operation of the unit.
FILTERS in self-extinguishing media
with an efficiency of EU4 (doc. Eurovent
4-5), mounted on a metal frame.
FAN SECTION
(belt driven type)
Centrifugal double-inlet fans in galvanised
steel with forward blade impeller and
permanently lubricated bushes.
Class F/IP55 4-pole triphase motors
mounted on adjustable belt-tensioning
supports. The whole mechanism is
completely vibration-free thanks to perfect
balancing and the use of "Taperlock"
pulleys.
AIRFLOW SENSOR to activate an alarm
in the case of low or zero air flow.

BDA2002HPA is a downflow unit with top air return:
- Air-cooled condensing system;
- An indicative cooling capacity of 20.0 Tons and 2 compressors;
- Cooling + Electric Reheat + Humidification + Dehumidification function;
- MP20 Microprocessor control;
- Supply voltage: 400V.
COOLING COIL constructed of copper
tubes expanded into aluminium fins; the
large frontal surface coil, mounted
upstream of the fans to ensure uniform
air distribution, is mounted on a stainless
steel tray with a flexible hose to drain the
condensate (BD* units are fitted with two
coils).
REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT/S including:
- liquid receiver with shut-off and safety
valves or, alternatively, water cooled
condenser;
- filter-dryer and liquid sight glass;
- thermostatic expansion valve;
- low and high (manual reset) pressure
switches;
- schraeder valves for charging and for
pressure checks;
- external connections (in air cooled
units).
WATER-COOLED
(water-cooled models) of the brazed
plate type constructed of stainless steel.
3-STEP ELECTRICAL REHEAT (in
version T or H) with integral fin elements
constructed of aluminium with a safety
thermostat which, in the event of
overheating, cuts the power supply and
activates the alarm.
ELECTRODE BOILER HUMIDIFIER (in
version D or H) with modulating steam
production and automatic control of
water salinity to ensure successful
operation on any untreated water supply.
ELECTRICAL PANEL complying with
IEC recommendations, housed in a
compartment isolated from the air stream
and including:
- 24 V control circuit transformer;
- safety screen for all mains voltage
components;
- mains isolator mechanically interlocked
with the safety screen;
- miniature circuit breakers;
- contactors.
MICROPROCESSOR CONTROL to
provide highly accurate real-time control
of environmental conditions, while
providing an exhaustive display of all
operating parameters as well as any fault
conditions.
USER TERMINAL for the setting and
visualization of the function parameters of
the unit.
