The oil level in the pump must be at or above the centre line of
the pump before taking it into service.
Handle as follows:
- Take off the hose which runs from the tank to the pump suc-
tion connection (Z) where it is connected to the tank
- Fill the hose with oil
- Refit the hose
- Now start the engine; let it run for about 30 seconds
- Now turn off the engine. The pump will now fill up. Wait 10
minutes.
- Now start the engine again. The hydraulic system is ready for
use.
