Operating instructions

Important instructions for all models:
Caution! When running, the engine of this
brushcutter produces poisonous exhaust gas.
These can be invisible and also odoorless. Never
operate the brushcutter in closed or badly
ventilated areas. When the brushcutter is used
in confined areas such as ditches or hollows,
always ensure the presence of some air
movement!
Caution! This brushcutter should only be used
with the standard cutting tools or with cutting
tools shown in our accessory list. Always use the
correct debris guard with each cutting tool.
Trimmer heads with nylon cutting line are
suitable for a "soft cut", i. e. for trimming
around trees or posts. Caution! Never replace
the nylon cutting line with a steel wire. This
would increase the danger of injury!
- Approach cutting task by running
machine in idle, and then at full throttle.
- Never accelerate the engine without a load.
Warning: In order to achieve
optimum cutting, it is necessary
that the brushcutter is operated at
full throttle. It is also necessary that cutting takes
place in the recommended direction.
Move the cutting attachment two-thirds into the
respective area to be cut. Then use the cutter
like a scythe (illustration 3) by moving forward
step by step and by cutting the area from right
to left.
Always use the safety guard suitable for the
machine and the cutting tool - flying debris
can cause injuries.
Notes for the use with naylon trimmer heads:
When the brushcutter is converted from a metal
blade to a nylon trimmer head, additional parts
have to be fitted to the debris guard - please
refer to the special operational notes.
Ensure the nylon line does not exceed the
recommended length. When correctly fitted, the
metal blade fitted in the debris guard will cut
the line to the correct length.
Excessively long nylon line will be overload the
engine and the engine speed will drop. In turn,
this can cause overheating of the clutch and can
demage important operational components. A
damaged clutch can cause the rotation of the
cutting tools while the engine is idling and cause
injury.
