Check that the direction indicated on the saw
blade matches the direction of rotation of
the motor.
Always wear protective gloves when
handling the blade.
Never open the blade guard, except when
changing saw blades as described below.
Never open the blade guard while the blade
is rotating or if the saw is plugged in.
Check that the moveable part of the guard
can be moved freely and that the closure
mechanism works correctly before use. Do
not use the saw if this is not the case.
Never use the guard to carry or lift the saw.
Always keep the spindle for the saw blade
clean.
Always ensure the saw is standing on a rm,
level surface, and that it cannot move during
sawing.
Never allow the blade to be in contact with
the item to be cut - or other objects - when
starting the saw.
Check that there are no nails, screws or other
objects that could damage the blade in the
item to be cut, and that there are no similar
obstructions in the surface beneath the item.
Do not put too much pressure on the saw.
Switch the saw off immediately if the blade
jams or gets stuck in the item being cut. If
the blade gets stuck, it can cause the item to
violently kick back towards the user. Never
stand directly behind the saw blade when
sawing.
