General description • Mounting • Adjustment • SW-600-...-IL
With the SW-600-...-IL flow sensor a programming ring can be used to adjust switching points for increase or
decrease of process-data. Additionally an analogue output 4 (0)...20 mA is available. Thanks to the LCD display
this adjustment can also be done away from the process. At any time the current values at the measuring
point are visible and all important parameters are available for on-site inspection. This saves time after the
installation and during final operation as well as during the search for failures in your process. The analogue
current signal can be evaluated over large distances providing the actual values at a remote location. For
the pin connection please see fig. 5.
Installation, mounting-position, mounting and dimension see SW-600-...-S (technical data page 14).
Connection diagram fig. 5
If the connection for the NPN / PNP function is reversed
then the output signals of the switching output are re-
versed.
The sensor is delivered with a standard-configuration. It is therefore immediately ready for operation. If you
would like to alter parameters, then you can do this directly at the sensor without additional appliance or tools.
Provided that the programming-ring is placed correctly on the sensor head (with STEP EDIT upward).
At the beginning the ring-gap should be in the middle between 1 Prog. 2, see also fig. 6.
Which adjustments are programmable and how do they become visible?
When the flow sensor is connected to the power supply, the RECHNER-LOGO appears first on the Display.
Shortly after, it jumps in to measuring mode (shown in %).
If the sensor is installed into a tube, in which a liquid is flowing, then, because of the basic factory setting, it
shows a certain percent-value.
Please note. After 5 sec. without action the sensor automatically jumps back to the measuring mode
(in the code mode after approx. 8 sec.)
Action:
Turn the ring-gap from the middle to Pos.1
Turn the ring-gap to the middle and again to Pos. 1
Turn the ring-gap to the middle and again to Pos. 1
Turn the ring-gap to the middle and again to Pos. 1
Turn the ring-gap to the middle and again to Pos. 1
