CS-300-CE-1 ATTACHMENT FOR HEATING

APPLICATION
The CS-300-CE-1 PRAXAIR attachment for heating is designed to be connected to PRAXAIR
CS-300 shank (art nr. 230.200.5) for use in heating applications with oxygen & acetylene.

CONNECTING TO CS-300 SHANK
2.1. Insert the mixer of attachment on the frontal tube of the shank.
2.2. Turn heating attachment to have welding tip in comfortable position.
2.3. Screw & tighten with a wrench, without excessive strength, (tightness is made with an
O-ring & by metal/metal contact on the oxygen circuit).

ACCESSORIES
BROACH SET (ART Nr. 230520.3). To suppress obstructions or adherences on nozzles.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
4.a) All sentences showing
4.b) Before connecting the torch & during the whole operation, take care to follow these
instructions. In case of doubt, get in touch with PRAXAIR.
4.1.
Only use genuine & appropriate accessories from PRAXAIR (Universal shank, welding
tips & spare parts).
4.2.
NEVER USE OIL OR GREASE with any component of the equipment.
OXYGEN WITH OIL AND GREASE : DANGER OF EXPLOSION.
4.3.
Do not set pressures that are really different from those recommended.
CKFLOWING.
4.4.
SET ASIDE :
•
Torches with gas escapes and/or too many crackers.
•
Damaged nozzles or tips.
•
Old hoses.
ESCAPES & OBSTRUCTIONS = DANGER OF GAS ACCUMULATION &/OR GASBA-
CKFLOWING.
4.5.
We recommend to always use non return valves WITH DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE
TORCH.
4.6.
Do not use oxygen or fuel gases to clean parts with blowing system or to blow on human
body.
4.7. Do not rub cutting nozzles on metallic parts or abrasive material to clean them; use special
accessory (broach) or rub on wood.
5.
GAS BACKFLOWING
Immediately react as explained hereafter :
5.1. Close both valves (first, fuel gas & then, oxygen) on the shank.
5.2. If the torch is hot, wait till temperature has reduced.
5.3. Check tightness on accessories, nozzles & flexible hoses.
5.4. Suppress obstructions on tips, nozzles & injector.
5.5. Check that the non return valve is intact.
