2) Attach each side (Cb & Rb) to the Back (Db) with two Cam Housings (J). The sides are taller than
the back so they will extend below the back. See FIGURE 2.
3) Attach the Front Panel (B) to the Sides (Cb & Rb) with the cam connectors and cam housings in the
four upper holes in the sides. Attach the Base (F) in the lower holes. See FIGURE 3. Insert three
#8 x 2¾" Black Screws (Q) into the holes in the bottom of the Base (F) and fasten securely.

4) Hold the Top (A) so that the bent edge of the Hinges (N) hang over the inside edge of the back.
Align the hinges over the predrilled holes in the back. Insert a #6 x 3/4" Brass Flat Head Screw (M)
in each of the left holes. DO NOT TIGHTEN COMPLETELY AT THIS TIME. Lower the top to ensure
that the bumpers make solid contact. Adjust top as necessary and tighten screws. Now insert and
fasten the other two screws in each hinge. See FIGURE 4.
5) Attach a Lid Support (O) to the top and back with #6 x 3/4" Brass Flat Head Screws (M). The long
arm should be toward the top. There is a hole predrilled in the Top (A) for the innermost screw and
in the Back (Db) for the highest screw. See FIGURE 5. Repeat for the other lid support.
6) Spread a thin layer of glue on the top edge of both bottom supports. Tilt the Bottom (E) up and slide
it onto the bottom supports. Press fi rmly into place. The cedar side should be up if you desire the
cedar aroma.
NOTE: One side of the Bottom (E) is cedar. When fi nishing the chest, DO NOT seal the cedar
side of the bottom if you would like the cedar aroma. To cover the cedar aroma, seal all
surfaces of the bottom completely.
