5.3 Alarm
4 different alarms can be set using the instrument:
• battery voltage too low:
standard setting 10.8 V (SETUP mode H2)
• battery voltage too high:
standard setting 31.2 V (SETUP mode H4)
• battery charge condition too low:
standard setting 0.0% (SETUP mode H16)
• battery charge condition too high:
standard setting 99.9% (SETUP mode H17)
These values have been set in the factory so that no alarm will be
given during normal usage.
The values can be changed using SETUP mode, see section 8.
An alarm is shown by the appropriate unit flashing (voltage (V) or
battery capacity (%)).
It is possible to connect a buzzer to give an audible alarm when
the voltage is too high or too low. See the wiring diagram on page
90/91.

5.4 Power saving
In order to save power the display can be switched off using the
switch fitted in the yellow wire.
The display will be switched off after 60 seconds when the switch
is set to 'OFF'. The instrument is still powered however and will
continue to register the charge or discharge current.
If the '<' or the '>' button is pressed while the switch is set to
'OFF' the display will be lit up again. However, so long as the
switch is set to 'OFF' it will be switched off again after 60 seconds.
