FITTING THE LEFT BEARING ON TO THE FRAME

Use a fine grain emery cloth
(type 220) to prepare the bearing
seats on the frame. Degrease
the bearing seats.
[ D ]
Apply a strip of Loctite® 641 on to
the edge of the exterior bearing
ring. The strip of glue must be
on the side of the bearing which
will be inside the frame. Use the
guide to facilitate handling and
guarantee the correct placement
of the strip of glue.
[ G ]
Insert the straight section of the
tool into the right bearing seat in
the bottom bracket.
[ B ]
Degrease the bearings. Apply
the activator Loctite® 7649 on to
the exterior bearing ring. Leave
the activator to dry for 10 mi-
nutes. Do not touch the exterior
bearing ring after this stage.
[ E ]
Remove the glue guide.
[ H ]
Pre-position the left part of the
tool containing the bearing level
with the left bearing seat in the
bottom bracket.
[ C ]
Fix the bearing onto the mobile
part of the middle. Slide all of it
into the glue guide.
[ F ]
Pre-assemble the part of the
assembly tool working from the
right bearing seat in the bottom
bracket.
[ I ]
Slowly tighten the nut until the
left bearing is fixed into the bot-
tom bracket. Be careful to not fix
the bearing at an angle as this
could cause wear to the bearing
and the frame. Clean the excess
with degreaser.
