To maximize the performance of the UV clarifier, periodically
disassemble the filter to clean dirt and debris from the exterior of the
glass tube and inside light housing.
Check the UV bulb to make sure that it has not burned out. Replace
the bulb as necessary, or after every season.
Step 1. Disconnect the
pump and filter from the
outlet. Allow a sufficient
time to pass for the
light to cool before
disassembling the light.
Step 2. Remove the
cover. Turn the UVC
clarifying unit counter-
clockwise then lift.
Step 3. Loosen the
screw and remove the
clamp around the tube
by turning counter-
clockwise.
Step 4. Remove the
quartz glass including the
o-ring by turning slightly
and pulling forward.
Check for any damage to
the o-ring and tube and
replace if needed. Only
clean the outside of the
glass with a warm water
and a cloth.
Step 5. To replace the
bulb, carefully remove the
old bulb by pull firmly on
the base. Carefully install
the new bulb and put the
bulb holder back in place.
Step 6. Reassemble
the UVC clarifying unit.
The o-ring goes on the outside of the tube and rests under the clamp
without any twists for a water tight seal.
Step 7. Tighten the clamp clockwise and tighten the screw.
Step 8. Return the UVC clarifying unit into the filter. The o-ring should
rests under the top of the unit without any twists for a water tight seal.
If there are any damage or cracking in the o-ring replace. Use slight
pressure to lock the UVC clarifier in place as you press down and turn
clockwise. Place the cover over top.
