INSTALLATION
SOME IMPORTANT THINGS BEFORE YOU START:
Before you start installing the strips, make a plan on how you will install the strips. Make sure you respect the following
things while making your plan:
MAX. ALLOWABLE LENGTH OF A STRIP: Each type of LED strip has different maximum allowable lengths to respect.
Installing longer lengths that allowed will result in over current of the conductors in the LED strips and thus destroy the
LED strip...
MIN. POWER OF THE CONTROLLER OR POWER SUPPLY: Each type of LED strip has a different power
consumption (watts/meter). You have to make sure that the total power consumption of the strips connected to your
power supply or LED controller does not exceed its max. output power.
Calculation:
Calculation example for a FL30-WW-3528 strip, length 9m: 2,4watt/meter x 9m = 21,6 watt total power.

A.
Check how long the LED-strip should be. Check the table to see max. allowable length, the minimum cutting distance
(section length) and power consumption per meter. If the strip is too long, you can eventually cut it on one of the
cutting lines, using scissors. Attention: only cutting on the markings is permitted!
B.
Two options to put two flexible led strips together. Option (a) is the easiest, no soldering. Option (b) is the most flexible
but you need soldering:
a.
You can plug strips together using MIDDLE CONNECTORS (see the connection drawing).
If you need a more precise cut of the led strip, you can cut the strip on the markings. Follow the procedure
marked below:
1. Use sharp scissors to cut the led strip on one of the cutting marks. Make sure to cut exactly on the
marking in-between the soldering contacts!
2. Use a knife to VERY GENTLY remove the silicon top cover of the soldering contacts. Make sure to NOT
cut too deep otherwise damage the conductors of the led strip! The solder contacts should be well
cleaned to be sure that soldering can be done easily.
3. Using an adapted soldering iron you can solder the corresponding soldering contacts (respect the
markings!) to a 2-color electrical cable. Any good 2x0.5mm
of the cable you can do exactly the same.
C.
Thanks to the special self-adhesive 3M
sure to clean the surface and remove any greasy substance! Remove the protection paper from the tape and press
the strips gently in place.

power P = 21,6W and voltage V = 24V
In this case you need at least a 24V
