Introduction
This booklet will guide you through the basic steps needed to install the
OmniView ENTERPRISE Series Remote IP Console (the RIPC). If you have
any problems during this installation, please refer to the User Manual.
The following is needed to install the RIPC:
• One OmniView ENTERPRISE Series Remote IP Console (included)
• One PS/2 cable kit (included)
• One 5V DC, 2000mA power supply (included)
• One PS/2 keyboard and mouse and VGA monitor
• Connection to network using 10/100Base-T Ethernet port (RJ45)
• CAT5e crossover cable
• CAT5e straight-through cable

Connecting the Console
1. Power down your server or KVM Switch.
2. Connect your PS/2 type keyboard and mouse to the appropriate PS/2
"Console" ports.

3. Take the video cable that is attached to your VGA monitor and connect it to
the "Console" port.
