Maintenance and care

• Clean the EGC-FA guide axis as required with a soft cloth.
Any agents that do not damage the material may be used as cleaning agents.
For greasing the roller bearing guide (not possible for EGC-....-GP/GQ):

– Dusty and dirty environment
– Nominal strokes  2000 mm
– Speeds  2 m/s
– Travel profile Z delta operation (frequent acceleration and braking)
– Ambient temperatures  +40 °C
– Product has been in operation for  3 years.
• If one of these factors applies, halve the lubrication interval S
• If several factors apply at the same time, reduce the lubrication interval by three-
quarters.
1. Calculate the load comparison factor fv with
the help of the formula for combined loads
(è 11 Technical data) and read the lubrica­
tion interval S (è Fig. 8).

2. Grease the roller bearing guide at all relubrica­
tion openings 9 (permitted roller bearing
grease è 9 Accessories).
3. Move the slide the complete travel distance
during greasing in order to distribute the
grease evenly inside.
4. Grease the guide rail, if it no longer has a layer of grease.
