SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PATIENT
- The cosmetic shell is guaranteed for 6 months. It must be replaced if it gets torn or if there is some slack between
the structure and the cosmetic shell.
- Do not let foreign bodies or dust inside the foot because they could lead to noises or early abrasions. They must
be removed from the cosmetic shell.
- If the foot has been dipped or sprinkled, empty the remaining liquid out and dry the foot rapidly. In case of
metal component corrosion, have your prosthesis controlled.
- Use temperature : -20° / +60°C
- An inappropriate use of the foot (top level sport, frequent overload, repeated shocks) can damage components
and be dangerous for you. If you discover an abnormal behaviour of your foot or changes in your foot features,
contact your prosthetist.
1- Description and functions
Dyna C foot includes three main components. Two composite parts : a
C-form malleolus that allows energy storage and return, and a sole
providing flexibility on the sides, which ensures adaptation to the ground.
A polyurethane cosmetic shell which transfers the mechanical stresses
between the ground or the shoe and the composite structure. Thanks to
these components, the foot behaviour is flexible and dynamic.
For patients who are active, or very active (children for example), or reach
the weight and activity limits of the module selection guide, a stop can be
used to limit warping of the C-malleolus. This stop comes with the foot and
must be installed by the prosthetist.
2- Specification
Dyna C foot is designed exclusively for lower limb prostheses.
It is appropriate for active patients up to 125 Kg,
or very active patients up to 105 kg.
Dyna C foot is designed for a 10 mm heel. It
includes a male pyramid that allows for the
use of standard connectors available on the
market. Thanks to these connectors, the
heel height can be easily modified from 0 to
20 mm.
3- Assembling (without the
patient
A) Gluing of the stop (if neces-
sary): Remove the foot from
its cosmetic shell, then take
the sock off. Degrease the
faces that will be glued, let
them dry, then apply epoxy
glue on both faces.
B) Assembling: Place under the foot a wedge of the same height as the
shoe heel. Fix the female pyramid connector to the foot taking care that
its axis be perpendicular to the ground (fig1).
