In this section you receive important safety information regarding handling of the
device. This device complies with the statutory safety regulations. Improper use
can lead to personal injury and property damage.
For safe handling of the device observe the following safety information:

Before use check the device for visible external damage. Do not operate a
damaged device. There is a risk of electric shock.

Only allow authorised specialists or the customer service department to carry
out repairs to the device. Improper repairs can result in signifi cant danger for
the user. In addition warranty claims become void.
■
To avoid risks have damaged mains power cables exchanged by an authorised
technician or by the customer service department.
■
Never use the lamp with a defective connection cable. There is a risk of
electric shock.
■
Do not use extension cables or multiple sockets that do not comply with the
necessary safety regulations.
■
The mains wall socket must be easily accessible so that, in an emergency, the
power cable can be quickly disconnected.
■
This device is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with
restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or defi ciences in
experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person res-
ponsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction on how the
device is to be used.
■
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
■
Do not use any optical instrument such as, for example, a magnifying glass
to look directly into the light beam. There is a risk of eye damage.
