Fasten decoration items so safely that the terrarium inhabitants
can follow their natural urge to move without any "accidents".
Test the function of the intended lighting for function before you
put the animals in. Observe the temperature development in a
several hour test. Especially cold-blooded animals often have
adapted to very special temperature conditions during their very
long evolutionary development time.
Operation
Opening and closing the wing doors (fig. 2.3):
Push the door opener (2.3.1) in the middle underneath the wing
doors. You can open the wing doors when the button is pushed.
When you close the doors, be sure the doors lock into the door
opener behind the locker bar.
Opening and removing the wire gauze covers (fig. 4):
Unlock both spring locks (2.6.1) of the covers simultaneously
and open the cover upwards (4.1). In case you wish to take the
cover out, lift the cover approx. 5 cm (2 in.) high until it can eas-
ily pulled out to the front or to the back (4.2). Please do not bend
the covers for taking them out. Damaged covers can be re-
placed. See spare parts list.
Putting on the sera reptil terra top light hood (fig. 4):
The light hood can be placed on the front or back cover. The
four latch pins on the covers (4.3) lie inside the latch bars of the
sera reptil terra top light hood (4.4) and thus ensure they re-
main in place safely.
One of the covers can alternatively be taken out. The sera reptil
terra top precisely fits into the terrarium frame (4.5). Also follow
the information for use of the sera reptil terra top.
Operating the combination lock (fig. 5):
The default code number is 000 (5.1). Hold the combination lock
with the locker bar directing to the left. Open the combination
lock by selecting 000 in the groove and folding the locker bar to
the left (5.2). Now select another number by pushing the button
on the right side with a ball pen (5.3) while it is open. Memorize
the selected number. Push the bolt of (5.4) the combination lock
through the eyes of the glass doors of the terrarium (2.3.2).
Close the lock and set it to another number than the code num-
ber. The combination lock is now locked. Set the lock to the
previously entered code number for opening the combination
lock. Open the combination lock and take it out of the eyes of
the glass doors of the terrarium.
Taking out the glass doors (fig. 6):
The glass doors can be pulled out of their holders (6.1). Close
the door you wish to take out, but do not allow it to lock in.
Open the other door. Pull the closed door to the right (6.2) or to
the left, respectively. Then open this door to the inside and push
it out of the supporting bar (6.1) to the back (6.3). Hold the part
of the door you pushed out so it does not get jammed and falls
into the terrarium to do so. Push the door entirely out of the
frame to the back. Now you can take the door out with both
hands.
Cleaning
Disconnect all electrical devices connected in the sera reptil
terra biotop 60 from the mains supply. Wipe the terrarium with
a moist cloth and a neutral detergent. Do not use any abrasive
cleaning agents nor solvents. Make sure no water gets near
electric connections and cables. Allow the terrarium to become
entirely dry again before plugging in the electrical devices.
Maintenance
Regularly check all locking mechanisms, panes and hinges for
unobjectionable condition. Damaged front doors or fold-up
grids are available as spare parts. See spare parts list.
