1. Introduction
The Lighting Mod/Var Ramp RTS-LB1 is a lighting ramp equipped with:
-
pivoting mountings and halogen spots to direct light to the required area.
-
Radio Technology Somfy (RTS) to allow remote use and the creation of personalised
environments.
The Lighting Mod/Var Ramp RTS-LB1 operates with a 230 V power supply, using an RTS control
point. The Lighting Mod/Var Ramp RTS-LB1 enables the intensity of the lighting to be varied as well
as the preferred light intensity to be programmed, i.e. the favourite position: By default, the favourite
light intensity factory setting is 50% of the maximum intensity.
The Lighting Mod/Var Ramp RTS-LB1 is used:
-
as an individual control - one Lighting Mod/Var Ramp RTS-LB1 is controlled by one control
point,
-
as a multiple control - one Lighting Mod/Var Ramp RTS-LB1 is controlled by several control points
(maximum of 12 control points),
-
as a group control - several Lighting Mod/Var Ramp RTS-LB1 units are controlled from a single
control point.
This device is not designed to be used by persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or
mental capacity is impaired, or persons with little experience or knowledge, unless they are under
supervision or have received instructions on using the device by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the device.
2. Safety
2.1 Safety and responsibility
Before installing and using this product, please read the installation guide carefully.
Moreover, the installer must comply with current standards and legislation in the country in which the
product is being installed, and inform his customers of the operating and maintenance conditions for
the product.
Any usage outside of applications defined by Somfy constitutes non-compliance, and is therefore not
covered by the guarantee. In this event, as for all usage not consistent with the instructions given
here, Somfy declines any responsibility for harm or damage.
Never begin installing without first checking the compatibility of this product with the associated
equipment and accessories.
Never look directly at the lamps at close range when the ramp is on
The stability of the blinds may vary when subject to rain or wind. The installer must ensure that the
safety distances given in section 3.4 are observed at all times, when the products are in use.
