Connecting the auxiliary relays and inputs
Sprite Lite has on-board auxiliary dry contact relays that are activated on alarm, activity
detection and camera failures. The relays are rated at 500mW @ 12v – 48v.
A VEXT input is also available. VEXT is used to synchronise the time-lapse mode on the
VCR to the time-lapse mode on the multiplexer.
9 and 16 channel version
The two piece connector at the rear of the unit has two relay outputs, R1 and R2. Relay 1
will close when an alarm is triggered and relay 2 will close when activity is detected or
a camera fails.
The two piece connector also has an 'AUX + -' input, this is connected to the camera
switch pulse (VEXT) on the VCR.
4 channel version
The two piece connector on the rear of the unit labelled 'RELAY' has two relay outputs, R1
and R2. Relay 1 will close when an alarm is triggered and relay 2 will close when activity is
detected or a camera fails. This connector also has a 'VEXT + -' input, this is connected to
the camera switch pulse (VEXT) on the VCR.
A two piece connector on the rear of the unit labeled 'AUX' is used for auxiliary alarm
