1.3 Working safely
The 24 V power supply unit of the Tec2Screen
It is equipped with a VDE-tested mains cable with protective earth conductor and may only be operated
with, or connected to, 110/230 V AC systems with protective earthing.
•
Risk of death in case of interrupted protective earth conductor!
–
The protective earth conductor (yellow/green) must never be interrupted,
either inside or outside the device.
–
The insulation of the protective earth conductor must never be damaged or removed.
•
In schools and training facilities, the operation of power supply units must be responsibly monitored by
trained personnel.
•
Caution!
The capacitors in the device may still carry a charge, even after it has been disconnected from all
voltage sources.
•
Never switch the power supply unit on immediately after it has been moved from a cold room to a warm
room. Under unfavourable conditions, the condensate which forms as a result may damage the device.
Leave the device switched off until it has reached room temperature.
•
Risk of death from connecting power supply units in series!
Contact voltages > 25 V DC are not permissible.
Coming into contact with voltages of greater than 120 V DC may be fatal.
–
Do not connect voltage sources in series.
•
The ventilation slots of power supply units must not be covered! The devices must be placed on hard,
flame-resistant surfaces so that air can enter them unhindered. The devices are cooled primarily by
means of convection.
•
Set the devices up so that activation of switches and disconnectors is
not made difficult.
•
When working on a live circuit, use only suitable tools.
