TROUBLE SHOOTING

When the "VideoPorteroPC" application is started, the following
message appears:
“The program found no door connected to the Door Entry
System and will close. Check that all the Door Entry System
connections are correct.”
Check the USB connection of the PC interface to the computer.
Make sure that the voltage between – and + of the PC
interface is 15 ± 10% Vdc. Check the mains voltage in the
power supply unit. Check if there is a short-circuit and if
one is found, rectify the situation. Disconnect the power
supply unit from the mains for 1 minute and reconnect it.
If the problem persists, disconnect all the – and + terminals,
and ensure that the voltage between – and + is 15 ± 10%
Vdc. If any of the voltages are incorrect, there may be
something wrong with the power supply unit.
When the "VideoPorteroPC" application is started, the following
message appears:
“The program could not be configured and will close. Make
sure that no other application is using the Video Capture device.
Ensure also that the PC meets the System Requirements.”
Check the connection of the video card with composite video
input to the computer. Make sure that the composite video
entry card has been installed correctly.
The card holders do not light up.
Check that the voltage between
supply unit is 12 ± 10% Vac. Check that the voltage between
9 and 10 in the audio unit, with the lighting push button
activated, is 12 ± 10% Vac. Check whether the lamp is burnt
out.
The lighting push button pilot does not light up.
Check that the voltage between
is 12 ± 10% Vac. If the voltage is correct, there may be
something wrong with the audio unit.
The user of the "VideoPorteroPC" cannot be heard from the
entrance panel.
Check the connection of the microphone to the PC interface.
Check connections 2 and 3 of the PC interface to the audio
unit. Check the volume control of the entrance panel. If the
fault cannot be found, there may be something wrong with
the interface PC or with the audio unit.
The entrance panel cannot be heard through the speakers.
If the speakers are connected to the sound card, check
whether the speakers work correctly with another application.
Check the connection AUDIO OUT of the PC interface to
the speakers or to the sound card of your computer. Check
connections 2 and 4 of the PC interface. If the fault cannot
be found, there may be something wrong with the PC
interface or with the audio unit.
You can hear bleeping on the entrance panel. The sound
produces feedback.
Turn down the sound level using the volume controls on the
audio unit.

Check the USB connection of the PC interface to the computer.
Check the – and + connections of the PC interface to the
power supply unit. Check connections 2 and 5 of the PC
interface to the audio unit. Without activating the pushbutton,
make sure that the voltage between connections 2 and 7 of
the audio unit is 9Vdc. Check the connection between 7 of
the audio unit and the pushbutton. Check the connection of
the pushbutton in the entrance panel. If you cannot find the
fault, there may be something wrong with the PC interface
or the audio unit.
You cannot hear the call confirmation on the entrance panel.

on the entrance panel. Check that the call can be heard in
the flat or house. If you cannot find the fault, there may be
something wrong with the audio unit.
The electric lock doesn’t work.
Check connections 2 and 1 of the PC interface to the audio
unit. Without activating the electric lock, ensure that the
voltage between 1 and 2 of the audio unit is 5Vdc. Check
that, when the electric lock is activated, the voltage between
11 and 12 of the audio unit is 12Vac. If you cannot find
the fault, there may be something wrong with the electric
lock.
There is no picture.
Check the VIDEO OUT connection of the PC interface to the
video card with composite video input. Check connections
V1 and M of the PC interface to the video unit. Check the
connection between the video unit and the audio unit. Check
whether the audio unit can be turned on. If the connection
is made by means of splitters, check that the voltage between
– and + of the splitters is 15 ± 10% Vdc. Check the position
of the SW1 configuration switch of the PC interface. Check
the brightness, contrast and saturation levels. If you cannot
find the fault, there may be something wrong with the PC
interface or with the video unit.
The quality of the image is poor: distorted picture, ghost images,
loss of synchronisation.
If splitters have been used in the distribution, check that the
voltage between – and + of the splitters is 15 ± 10% Vdc.
Check the position of the SW2 configuration switch of the
PC interface. Check the connections of splitters and tap-offs.
If you cannot find the fault, there may be something wrong
with the PC interface.
The auto switch-on feature doesn’t work.
