The system allows the realisation of door phone and video door phone installations with a maximum of 100
tenants, while using only two common wires (for an audio installation), or only fi ve common wires to create a
video installation (6 wires are needed if the self-lighting service is required)

PERFORMANCE
• Individual call with full-duplex communication in two directions and possibility to activate the electrical
lock from every phone.

USE OF THE SYSTEM
The operation of the system changes depending upon the presence or absence of the conversation secrecy.
With secrecy of conversation
At rest, all door phones or monitors are disconnected from the installation, and none of them is able to
converse or activate the electric lock.
The LED present on digitizer sends a green light.
To make a call, press the button corresponding to the tenant we want to call.
After about 3 sec. the door phone or monitor ring during 2 sec., during this phase the LED is lighting (red
light). The monitor (if any) will light up and reproduce the image coming from the TV camera.
At the end of this phase, the LED becomes yellow and the called tenant has about 60 sec. Of time to answer,
lifting the micro-telephone of the door phone or monitor.
If this time elapses without any answer, the door phone or monitor is disconnected from the line. If the
tenant answers to the call lifting the micro-telephone, the conversation with the external unit is activated
automatically, limited up to 60 sec. from the moment of the answer.
During this time, the tenant can press the button "door opener", that activates immediately the electric
lock. Of course, all other door phones or monitors shall be "off", without any possibility of listening to the
conversation or activating the lock. If the tenant hangs up the micro-telephone before 60 sec. elapsed, the
conversation would be interrupted immediately, and the external unit would be reset to rest condition (green
LED).
Without secrecy of conversation
All door phones or monitors are connected to the system, and therefore each one of them is able to converse or
activate the electric lock. The LED present on digitizer sends a green light. To make a call, press on the button
corresponding to the tenant to be called (do not press on ther center, but rather on the sides).
After about 3 sec. the door phone or monitor will sound during 2 sec., during this phase the LED lights up (red
light). The monitor (if any) will be switched on, and reproduce the image coming from the TV camera. At the

end of this phase, the LED becomes yellow, and the tenant can answer lifting the micro-telephone of the door
phone or monitor called, without any limit of time (see connection remark in the wiring
diagrams) When the tenant answers to the call lifting the micro-telephone, the conversation with the external
unit is activated immediately.
Of course, all other door phones and monitors are potentially active and, lifting the micro-telephone, the
running conversation can be heard. Moreover, each door phone or monitor can activate the lock at any time
(except the 3 sec. during which the call occurs, and the red LED is lighting).
This operation mode is similar to that of a traditional standard door phone system, without conversation
secrecy, to which many tenants are used.
Call at the fl oor
In both audio or audio/video system types it is possible to perform a fl oor call by adding one wire in the
column.
SIGNALS
€ -BUS system
The LED present on the front of the digitiser lights up in different ways, to signal the system state. The various
signals are:
Green: System at rest (if the conversation secrecy is active, no door phone is connected to the
system), it is possible to make a call.
Fixed red: The system is transmitting codes after a call. It is not possible to make any other call.
Wait until the system is in stand-by mode again.
Orange: conversation in progress: it is possible to talk to the called door phone. By forwarding another
call, the previous user will be disconnected, in order to connect the new called user.
Red blinking: busy system, because another door unit is in communication. To forward a call, wait until the
system is in stand-by mode again.
If the signal lasts during more than 2 minutes, this means that the system is OFF, because of
a trouble.
SYSTEM
System components are different for door phone systems or video door phone systems.
DOOR PHONE SYSTEM
A typical €-BUS door phone system is composed by the following devices:
• An external unit, that is a modular push button panel, composed by:
– one 1+1 standard AN9524/L audio door unit, that takes up the space of 1 module
– one AN9847/L dedicated digitizer, that takes up the space of 1 module
– one or several AN6215/L standard button modules, equipped with interface cards for €-BUS AN9854/8,
