Mode 'answering machine'
In order to via the telephone line make a connection with an answering machine instead
of with the telephone interface, you can set the appliance to mode 'answering machine' in
the menu 'settings' (4). If the mode 'answering machine' has been activated, the telephone
interface does not switch on in case of an incoming call. If the person who makes the call
interrupts the call after one ring tone, then waits for min. 10s and makes a new call withing
60s, the telephone interface switches on after the first ring tone.
Setting the number of ring tones
In the menu 'settings' (5), you can set the number of times the telephone has to ring before
the telephone interface answers the call. This is set to 2 times as a standard. If the mode
'answering machine' is activated, the number of ring tones is of no importance.
Setting the code
You can set the 4-digit code in the menu 'settings' (6). When taking the interface into use,
the code is 0000. If you choose code 1111, it is not verified anymore (unprotected mode).
If you enter a false code 3x in row, the connection is interrupted. If you have forgotten your
code, you can retrieve the fabric settings by following a procedure (see 3.2.). Attention: all
individual settings are then lost.
Setting the number of call attempts
You can set the number of call attempts from 1 to 12 ("7"). The programmed call numbers
are retrieved one after the other until the programmed number of attempts is reached.
