ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS UNITED
These instructions are fundamental for correct use and operation of the luminaire. After
installation, they should therefore be kept safely for future use.

GENERAL NOTES

• Conformity: European Standards EN 60598-1, EN 60598-2-1, EN 60598-2-5 luminaire
standard, as well as EN 61547, and Community Directives 2006/95/CE, EMC 89/336,
EEC 93/68.
• Product range: The UNITED range consists of:
- surface-mounted projectors for indoor and outdoor use with IP66 degree of protection;
• All luminaires in the UNITED range are suitable for direct mounting on normally
inflammable surfaces
They should under no circumstances be covered with insulating material.
• The number in the symbol
object to be illuminated should be placed; This distance is measured along the optical axis
of the luminaire, from the lamp side to the nearest lighted object.
When photosensitive objects are exposed to the sun's rays or sources of artificial light, they
may become discoloured. In order to increase safety and exposure time, use of limited UV
emission lamps ("UV-STOP lamps") is recommended. REGGIANI SPA ILLUMINAZIONE
declines all liability for the possible deterioration of exposed objects.
• In the event of damage or breakage of safety shields

Important: the luminaires should only be used when complete with the safety shield
(supplied as standard).
• The symbol (luminaires with HIT discharge lamps) in dicates that the luminaire is
subject to a voltage surge of 4.5 kV when the lamp is turned on . It is therefore essential
to pay full attention both when installing and replacing the lamp to prevent any risk from
the supply voltage.
Important: with the lamp at the end of its working life (degeneration of the luminous flux)
the lamp must be replaced in order to prevent serious damage to the
control gear with possible effects on the installation itself.
• For electrical connection to the mains (fig. )use a suitable terminal board in accordance
with 60998-1 standard, suitable for use with cables of cross section 0.75 to 2.5 mm² and
rated voltage of 500 V, fitted in a thermoplastic box. This, together with the cable
input/output, must have a degree of protection greater than or equal to IP66.
Important: the terminal board, thermoplastic box and connection accessories must
be supplied by the installer. Materials and installation methods must be chosen in
accordance with current electrical engineering regulations
Attention: Connections of type Y. Flexible cable outside the luminaire. If the flexible cable
requires replacement, it should be replaced only by the Reggiani SpA Service Centre or
by equivalent qualified personnel in order to avoid hazards.
PREPARATION AND ASSEMBLY OF THE LUMINAIRES
Disconnect from the mains and follow the instructions given below
All luminaires in the UNITED range are suitable for direct mounting on normally inflamma-
ble surfaces .
• To fasten the luminaire base to the mounting surface with four suitable screws or
expansion plugs , follow the instructions in the figure (fig. ):
mounting plate from the luminaire and use it as a drilling template;
