SAFETY NOTES FOR
BATTERY OPERATED
BRUSHING VACUUM
CLEANERS
The safety and accident
prevention instructions
for the handling and/or
fitting of the batteries
must be observed.
Read the operation
manual and the battery
supplier's handling
instructions.
STORE AND CHARGE
BATTERIES ONLY IN DRY
ROOMS.
Before charging, check
the battery and charger
leads and, if necessary,
replace on the brushing
vacuum cleaner. During
battery charging smoking
is prohibited. Avoid
naked flames, flying
sparks, or the setting-up
of incandescent bodies.
Ventilate the room well -
during charging of the
batteries highly explosive
oxyhydrogen gas is
produced. All cavities,
covers, hoods etc. in
which the oxyhydrogen
gas can collect must be
opened.
Fire protection equip-
ment must be easily
accessible. In rooms
where charging is carried
out eating and drinking
is prohibited. Immediate-
ly after work on the
batteries wash hands
thoroughly. Do not touch
or spill any battery acid.
Do not lay any metal
parts on the batteries as
there is otherwise a
danger of short-circuit
and fire.
CAUTION!
Never spray down
electrical equipment with
water:
danger for persons,
danger of shortcircuit.
The last edition of the
IEC regulations is to be
observed.
