Connecting the RF cable to the Outdoor Unit
The RF cable has two connections:
• Control connection (1): for power supply as well as for the transmission
of compass data and control signals
• N connection (2): for transmitting the RF signal

Fig. 15: Connecting the RF cable: control connection (1) and N connection (2)
Connecting the RF cable:
1. Place the control cable plug of the RF cable into the control connector of
basic unit (1) making sure that the red mark on the control cable plug is
aligned with the notch on the control connector socket.
2. Press the plug with locking sleeve into the connection until the plug lock
engages.
3. Place the N connector plug of the RF cable on the N connector of the
basic unit (2) and screw the union nut on carefully without skewing.
NOTE:
Make sure that the cable does not twist as you screw it on. Otherwise, the
electrical properties of the high-quality coaxial cable could be impaired by
torsional forces.
If you notice exceptional resistance while tightening, the union nut must be
loosened and realigned. Approx. 4 rotations are necessary to create a tight
connection.
Unscrewing the connector:
1. Unscrew union nut (2) from the N connection.
2. Hold control cable plug (1) by the knurled head and pull it back until the
lock is released.
3. When the N socket is no longer in use, screw the protective metal cap
back on (Figure 7: number 7).
