Maintenance and cleaning

Filters
Recommended maintenance timetable: in general, the level of air pollution depends on the geographical installation area,
and therefore filter duration is variable. With these considerations in mind, the maintenance alarms for filters can however
be set as follows (see also the "Use" paragraph):
• pre-alarm: activates the filter control and cleaning warning
• alarm: activates the saturated filter warning
The counter will also be reset when a filter error is reset.
NOTE: Failure to clean or replace filters causes serious problems with system efficiency, including:
- Increase in pressure losses in the air circuit and reduction of air flow
- Consequent decrease in machine yield and worsening of comfort in the environment
Follow the instructions below to access the filters:
• disconnect the device from the electrical mains.
• remove the panel (fig.16)
• remove the filters from the device (fig. 17,18)

• Clean the filters using a vacuum cleaner. It is preferable to replace the filters after some cleanings, and at least 1 time a
year.
• Re-install filters
In the event of prolonged downtime of the device, remove the filters to prevent the risk of their damage induced by any
formation of condensation.
Heat exchanger
The heat exchanger does not normally require frequent cleaning. They may need to be cleaned due to a high level of air
pollution (in and out of the house) or due to poor filter conditions.
The heat exchanger should however be replaced every 6 years, even where regular filter maintenance is performed.
Follow the instructions below to access the exchanger:
• Disconnect the device from the electrical mains.
• Remove the exchanger (fig. 19).

• Clean the exchanger with a vacuum cleaner.
• Re-install the exchanger; when performing this operation, make sure that the gaskets inside the device remain in position
(fig.19 A).
