Warning
1 - This is a "Universal" child restraint. It is approved in accordance with
Regulation No. 44, amendments series 04. It is suitable for general use in
vehicles and is compatible with most, but not all, car seats.
2 - Perfect compatibility is more likely if the vehicle manufacturer has declared
in the handbook that it is suitable for the installation of "Universal" child
restraints for the age group in question.
3 - This child restraint has been classified as "Universal" under more stringent
conditions than those applied to earlier models that do not carry this notice.
4 - This child restraint is only suitable for use in vehicles fitted with 3-point static
or inertia reel safety belts approved in accordance with UN/ECE Regulation
No. 16 or other equivalent standards.
5 - If in doubt, consult either the child restraint manufacturer or the retailer.
Important safety
information
Carefully follow the instructions for use.
Do not tamper with or modify the child seat in any way.
Warning: incorrect fitting or use of the child seat may seriously jeopardize
the safety of the child.
Position the child seat so that it cannot be damaged by closing the car doors,
adjusting the seats or similar actions.
Do not leave the child unattended in the child seat.
Do not leave the child seat in the car under the sun: the plastic parts may
become very hot.
Make sure that luggage and other items are secured in the car. All passengers
must wear safety belts.
Fasten the child seat to the car seat with the car safety belts even when there
is no child in it.
Periodically check the condition of the child seat. Replace the seat if it shows
signs of damage or tear and wear.
Do not use the product if any parts are broken or missing.
Use original spare parts only.
In the event of an accident
All passengers must be told how to take the child out of the seat.
The child seat must be replaced after an accident: it may have suffered damage
that is not visible on the outside.
Comfort
When the child seat is used on the rear seats of the car, make sure that there
is enough room for the child's feet. If necessary, move the front seat slightly
forward.
Take frequent breaks on long journeys so that the child can move about freely.
How to use the child seat
Position the child seat on one of the vehicle's rear seats or on the front passenger
seat.
Warning: the child seat must face the direction in which the vehicle travels.
Warning: in some countries, the highway code prohibits the use of child seats on
front seats: Check the highway code in your country.
Warning: do not use the child seat on the front passenger seat if the vehicle is
equipped with an active passenger side airbag.
Warning: do not place the child seat on a seat that is only fitted with a lap belt.
Warning: do not put anything between the child seat and the car seat.
Warning: Do not place the seat on swivel seats or seats facing the opposite
direction to that in which the vehicle travels.
How to fit the child seat in the car
Position the child seat on the seat of the vehicle so that it is fully supported on
the seat and backrest.
Warning: the safety belt positioning points are coloured in red. Do not route the
car seat belt in positions other than those indicated.
Sit the child in the child seat.
For child seats equipped with safety additional belt guide
For child seats equipped with safety additional belt guide.
Adjust the belt guide strap length so that its top is at the same level of the child's
shoulder (fig. 1).
Fasten the car safety belt (Fig. 2).
Pass the safety belt in the belt guide (Fig. 3).
For child seats not equipped with safety additional belt guide
Fasten the car safety belt (Fig. 2).
Warning: the position of the safety belt at the armrest varies according to the
weight of the child. (fig. 4).
Tension the car seat belt well, check that there are no twists and that it runs
smoothly under the armrests of the child seat.
Warning: During the journey periodically check that the child has not freed itself
from the child seat.
Maintenance
Remove the cover completely to wash it.
Follow the washing instructions reported on the label attached to the fabric.
Wash plastic parts using warm water and soap. Do not use aggressive cleaning
products.
Warning: The covers are an integral part of the child seat: the seat must not be
used without the covers. The covers must only be replaced with original spare
parts.
