Securely fix the fastening clamps of the hose in order to avoid that it falls off under high
pressure or becomes loose.
Draining the pump (D)
Before beginning to work, the pump must be filled with water.
Remove the filler plug of the pump's water tank and completely fill the water tank with water.
Reattach the filler plug and secure.
NOTE: The operation of the pump in a dry condition damages the pump's seals. If the pump
runs dry, the motor must immediately be switched off. Let the pump cool down for at
least 20 minutes before flushing it. (Fill water into the pump's water tank.)
WARNING
Do not open the plug if the motor is running.
Starting the motor (E-H)
1. Drain the pump (fill the suction tank with water)
2. Set the fuel lever to the "ON" position.
3. If you want to start a cold motor, set the locking lever (throttle switch) to the closed position
("CLOSED"). In order to restart a hot
motor, leave the locking lever (throttle switch) in the open position "OPEN".
4. Move the accelerator lever away from the lowest position; towards approximately 1/3 of the
direction towards the highest position.
5. Set the On/Off switch of the motor to the "ON" position.
6. Slightly pull the button of the ignition until you feel resistance and then pull it fast. Slightly
release the button of the ignition in order to avoid a jump-back of the button and damage to the
ignition system.
7. If the locking lever (throttle switch) was set to the closed position in order to start the motor,
you may now set it back to the open position step by step when the motor heats up.
Configuring the motor speed (H)
Set the accelerator lever to the highest position after starting the motor in order to accelerate
the self-suction. Check the water drain.
The water throughput at the drain of the pump is controlled by setting the accelerator lever. In
the highest position of the accelerator, the pump delivers the highest throughput at the drain.
Move the lever of the accelerator valve to the idle position in order to reduce the drain volume
of the pump.
Stopping the motor (G)
In order to stop the motor in the case of an emergency, only the On/Off switch of the motor
must be set to the "OFF" position.
Perform the following procedure under normal circumstances:
1. Set the accelerator lever to the slowest position.
2. Set the On/Off switch of the motor to the "OFF" position.
3. Set the fuel lever to the "OFF" position.
