28. Install the Keypad

Mark the hole location for the keypad between 58" (147.3 cm) and 60" (152.4 cm) above the footbath
basin. If the keypad will be installed to tile, center the mark on a tile.
Refer to the illustration above. Drill a 3/16" (5 mm) diameter hole at the top center as shown. Use a
1-5/8" carbide hole saw to carefully cut the larger hole through the finished wall material, cement
board and waterproofing material.
Slip the gasket onto the housing. Apply a generous, continuous bead of clear, high-quality silicone
sealant to the back of the keypad housing and the gasket. Insert the housing into the hole and
loosely thread the plastic nut to the housing from the back.
Check to be sure the keypad is properly aligned. Securely tighten the plastic nut from behind.
Remove any excess sealant.
Locate the wire harness connection labeled "keypad". Align and press this connection into the back
of the keypad. Connect the other end to the control by aligning and pressing into place.
Locate and remove the remote control, which is secured to the harness near the suction line.
Store the remote control safely for future use.

29. Water Test the System

Allow the silicone sealant and any finished wall materials or grout to fully cure before proceeding.
Follow all manufacturer's recommendations regarding water exposure to their products, as well as
product cure times.
Make sure all PVC union connections are securely hand tightened and that all union connections
use an O-ring.
Fill the footbath basin at least 3" (7.6 cm) above the top of the suction cover.
Turn on the system for about five minutes and check all visible connections for leaks. Turn off the
system.
Open the tower and inspect all piping connections for leaks.
Close the tower. Securely wrench tighten the two 3/8" bolts. Do not overtighten.

30. Clean Up After Installation

Clean the hydro-massage system room with a mild non-abrasive detergent and warm water. Do not
use abrasive cleansers.
