How to Tare
The tare of a container is its weight when it's empty, which is
important to know when you can't weigh something without
putting it into a container first. For example, water or olive oil
could not be measured without being in a bowl or pitcher.
1. Place the bowl you want to use to weigh your ingredients
on the weighing area.
2. Press ON (I)/OFF ( ) button. The display should show
"0.0g." Add ingredients and display will show weight of
ingredients added.
3. If you want to add another ingredient, press TARE button
and display will show "tare" and "0.0g."
4. Add your next item to the bowl. The weight will show on
the display.
NOTES:
• When you remove the bowl from the scale, a "–" will appear
beneath "tare" on the display along with a negative number.
• Do not exceed 13.33 lbs./6.0 kg on this scale.
