OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
When working with the pruning chain saw, you should
consider some precautions and operating procedures,
in order to prevent accidents, damages and increase the
pruning chain saw's performance:
▪ Ensure that you start-up the pruning chain saw at a
distance of more than 3m from the fueling site;
▪ Always hold the pruning chain saw with both hands;
▪ Take extreme care when cutting off small branches
or bushes that may stuck the saw chain, or be
projected against you making you losing balance and
get injured;
▪ If you try to cut logs above the recommended size,
kickback can occur and cause accidents to the user;
▪ When the pruning chain saw is running idle, the chain
guide bar is not rotating. Otherwise, contact
technical assistance to carry out an inspection and
solve the problem;
▪ If you hear an unusual noise or the pruning chain saw
vibrates abnormally, stop working and identify the
cause;
▪ Never operate a pruning chain saw that is damaged;
Starting the engine
1. Unscrew the oil (5) and fuel tank caps (6);
2. Fill the respective tanks up to 80% of the capacity;
3. Tighten both caps and clean up any spillage that may
have occurred;
4. The ON/OFF switch is already in position "I" (9);
5. Move the choke lever to the 'CLOSE' position (14);
6. Press the carburetor primer bulb (3) several times
until it is filled;
To restart the engine immediately after it has
been running for a long time, you should not turn
the choke lever. The choke lever returns to "open
position" when the throttle trigger is pressed.
7. Push the chain brake lever forward. This will keep the
chain locked in place;
8. Place the chain saw on the ground and hold it firmly.
Pull the recoil starter;
9. When the engine appears to start, press the throttle
trigger (10 and 11). This way, the choke lever will go
down to "Open" position. Pull the recoil starter again
until the engine starts running;
10. Pull the chain brake lever back (towards the front
handle) in order to disengage the chain brake. Let the
engine warm up for a while.
Before starting the pruning chain saw, check that
the chain is not in contact with any object and
make sure that the brake is engaged.
Chain brake
The chain brake lever is a safety device that stops the
saw chain instantly.
Usually the chain brake will be engaged by a quick chain
kickback movement. It can also be triggered manually
by pushing the chain brake lever/hand guard (1)
forward in the direction of the saw chain. To unlock,
simply pull back towards the handle until you hear a
click.
When the brake is engaged, do not press the throttle
trigger!
In case it does not function, contact technical
assistance.
Stopping the engine
1. Release the throttle trigger and let the engine run for
half a minute;
2. Press the ON/OFF switch to the "O" position
Unless an emergency situation arises, avoid
stopping the engine while pressing the throttle
trigger. In case of imminent danger or emergency, stop
the engine immediately. Set the ON/OFF switch to "O"
position;
The ON/OFF switch is already in position "I";
Pruning chain saw clutch
The saw chain should not move when the engine is
running at idle speed. If necessary, adjust the "T" screw.
