If breathing stops, oxygen inhalation is by no means suffi-
cient: in such cases artificial respiration is necessary. The
oxygen pressure during inhalation is not sufficient to over-
come the airway resistance, which means that not enough

oxygen would enter the lungs.
The oxygen is fed to the patient through an inhalation
mask or nasal canula.
You can use an inhalation tube connected to the
OXYWAY Click to attach a breathing bag in order to en-
sure respiration of the patient with an elevated oxygen
concentration.
To prevent drying of the mucous membranes during pro-
longed oxygen inhalation, you can attach a bubble humid-
ifier (see "3.3 Attaching the bubble humidifier" on
page 11).
