CLEANING, STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
The Gauge, bulb and valve can be wiped with a slightly dampened cloth or alcohol pad. The Cuff can
be wiped with a slightly dampened cloth, or hand-washed with mild detergent and water solution (1:9
solution); in the second case, rinse and let air dry. Do not press or iron the cuff with a hot iron since to
the application of heat will melt the hook and loop and destroy their effectiveness
Please note:
- Do not allow liquids to enter inside the sphygmomanometer components.
- It is recommended a monthly cleaning but the following circumstances could request an increase of
the frequency:
- Before and after use of different patients;
- When the product is dirty
- High incidence of infectious diseases
- Contact with the skin when there is liquid, such as blood, medicine, sweat.
STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
Always deflate the cuff completely before storage; needle should indicate zero when cuff is fully untouched
- fold the cuff with the hook and loop closure inside to protect it from dust or lint
- store the product at temperatures between -10ºC and 60ºC and relative humidity not exceeding 85%
- do not carry out self-repair or transformation
- do not drop or pull excessively on the sphygmomanometer components.
