5. SETUP OF THE GUN
CAUTION
USE CLEAN AIR FILTERED THROUGH AIR DRYER AND AIR FILTER.
WHEN USING THIS SPRAY GUN FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER PURCHASE,
CLEAN FLUID PASSAGES AND REMOVE RUST PREVENTIVE OIL BY
SPRAYING CLEANER.
FIRMLY FIX PAINT SUPPLY HOSE OR A SUITABLE CONTAINER TO SPRAY
GUN, TO AVOID THAT DISCONNECTION OF IT, CAN CAUSE BODILY INJURY.
NEVER CONNECT THE PAINT
WARNING
PRESSURE SUPPLY HOSE TO
THE SUCTION MODEL or THE
SUCTION CONTAINER TO THE
PRESSURE MODEL.
FLUSH FLUID PASSAGES WITH A COMPATIBLE

FIRMLY CONNECT AIR SUPPLY HOSE TO AIR

NIPPLE G1/4".
IN THE CASE OF SUCTION VERSION, POUR

PAINT INTO CONTAINER AND CONNECT IT
TO THE FLUID NIPPLE G3/8" TIGHTLY.
IN THE CASE OF PRESSURE VERSION,

CONNECT THE PAINT SUPPLY HOSE TO THE
FLUID NIPPLE G3/8" TIGHTLY.
TEST SPRAY, ADJUST FLUID OUTPUT AND AS

WELL AS PATTERN WIDTH.
6. HOW TO OPERATE
Suggested atomizing air pressure varies according to each model, and it is listed in the
Technical Data table ( Chapter 3 and 3.1.)
Recommended paint viscosity differs according to paint property and painting conditions.
Follow the advise on paint viscosity specified by used paint manufacturers.
Set the spray distance from the spray gun to the work piece as near as possible within the
range of 200~250 mm (7.9~9.8 in).
Keep fluid output as small as possible to the extent that the job will not be hindered.
It will lead to better finishing with fine atomization.
The spray gun should be held so that it is perpendicular to the surface of the workpiece at
all times. Then, the gun should move in a straight and horizontal line. Arcing the gun could
cause unevenness of the treated surface.
7. MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION
CAUTION
BEFORE CARRYING OUT MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION ALWAYS
OBSERVE WARNING INDICATIONS INCLUDED IN THE CHAPT. 4.
- NEVER DAMAGE FLUID NOZZLE TIP, FLUID NEEDLE OR AIR CAP HOLES.
- NEVER IMMERSE THE SPRAY GUN COMPLETELY IN LIQUIDS SUCH AS THINNER.
- USE ONLY GENUINE ANEST IWATA ORIGINAL SPARE PARTS FOR MAINTENANCE OR REPAIRS.
