Brewing
(fig. 2-10)
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water.
- The graduations on the left are for big cups
(120 ml).
The graduations on the right are for small cups
(80 ml).
- Use paper filters ('1x4' or 'No. 4'). Do not
forget to fold the glued edges of the filter
before you place it in the filter holder to
prevent the filter from tearing or collapsing.
- Some versions come with a permanent filter. In
this case you do not need to buy paper filters.
- For big cups: use 1 full measuring spoon of
ground coffee (extra-fine grind) for each cup.
For small cups: use 1 level measuring spoon of
ground coffee for one cup.
- Put the jug in place, close the filter holder and
switch the appliance on.
When the coffee is ready
- When all the water has passed through the
filter, you can take the jug out off the appliance
(fig. 11).
- After you have poured the coffee, put the jug
with the remaining coffee back on the hot plate
to keep it hot and to preserve its flavour.
"Drip-stop"
The drip stop system prevents coffee from
dripping through the filter onto the hot plate
when you take the jug out off the appliance
during and after brewing.
Protective buffer ring
(only for types HD 7501,

For your convenience and for
extra safety the coffee maker will
switch off automatically after two hours.

for three minutes.
Then you can fill the watertank again and make
fresh coffee.

placed in a microwave, even with the buffer ring
attached (only for types HD 7501, HD 7502 and
