SETUP

Tools Required

10 mm wrench and a 12 mm wrench

List of Loose Parts

With help from an assistant, carefully remove the snow thrower and
loose parts from the carton and compare the loose parts against the
following list. Contact the authorized Honda dealer from whom you
purchased the snow thrower if any of the loose parts shown are not
included with your snow thrower.

2. Raise the handlebar into position, and then tighten the two 8 mm
flange nuts securely. During initial setup, tighten the two
handlebar attaching 8 mm flange nuts to 5.9 N•m using a torque
wrench. This torque is achieved by tightening the flange nuts
approximately 1/4 turn after the bolt free-play is eliminated. Do
not over-tighten the nuts. Over-tightening these nuts will cause
excessive vibration to be transferred to the upper handlebar.
TORQUE: 5.9 N•m
3. EMA type only: Install the discharge chute using the three 6 mm
chute setting bolts [1] and 6 mm self-locking nuts [2]. Make sure
the bolt head goes on the inside and the nuts on the outside.
Tighten the nuts to the specified torque:
TORQUE: 10 N•m
