Hold the balance under the housing,
lift it up carefully, and carry it to its
new location.

The balance needs to be re-leveled and adjusted each
time its setup location is changed.
Transporting the Balance

Please use the original packaging for shipping.
Packaging can be ordered through the Sartorius
Service Center if required.

Prior to shipping, switch the balance to standby mode
(see previous page) and then pull the plug.

Secura Models:
Remove the following parts from
the balance:
– Draft ring (1) for models with 0.1 mg

– Weighing pan (2)

– Centering ring (4) for models with

0.1 mg readability

– Shield disk (5)
– Remove glass panels from the draft
shield (6): see next chapter, "Care and

Quintix and
Remove the following parts from
Practum Models:

– Weighing pan (1)

– Remove glass panels from the draft

Avoid glass breakage,
shocks, and vibrations:
Never lift or carry the
balance by its draft shield.

Turn the draft shield lock to
"unlocked."

Next, remove the wind shield from
the balance.

Insert the respective weighing pan

and pan support into the opening
shown in the image to the left:
– A = Weighing pan and pan support
with a diameter of 120 mm
– B = Weighing pan and pan support
with a diameter of 90 mm

Put packing pads over the glass
panels
t
Insert the AC adaptor from the
cardboard box into the packing pad.
t
Put the top part of the packaging
over the device parts.
t
Next, put the packaged balance into
the cardboard box and seal the box.

of the packaging into the
box.

Place the following parts
into the bottom part of
the packaging:
– Draft shield
– Balance
– Base plate
– Side panels
– Top glass cover
