This instrument complies with the relevant safety regulations. It was dispatched from our
production facility in good condition and perfect working order. However, failure to follow
the instructions given below can cause personal injury or death:
General information
1. Read the safety instructions and the associated operating instructions carefully before
starting to use the device!
2. Only use the device in accordance with the operating instructions.
The operating instructions must be stored within reach of where the instrument
i
is used.
3. Internal regulations and local accident prevention regulations (e.g. by the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association) must be strictly observed. Your safety expert will provide
further instructions based on local circumstances and in-house guidelines.
4. This instrument is NOT designed for operation in explosive environments. The equipment
can emit electrical sparks which could trigger an explosion.
Power supply and network connection
5. Before connecting the device to the mains, make sure that the voltage specified on the
rating plate matches the local mains voltage. DO NOT under any circumstances connect
the device to the mains if the voltage is not the same!
6. The device may only be connected to socket outlets equipped with protective conductors.
Extension cables must meet the stipulations of the VDE (German Association for
Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies) or an equivalent in your country.
Faults
7. The device should only be used if it is in perfect technical condition.
Any faults that could impair safety must be rectified immediately.
Tampering with the measuring station components
8. Any modification or manipulation of the device requires the express written approval of
Mahr GmbH and must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Covers on the machine may only be opened or removed by authorized
personnel for maintenance or repair work!
Before opening the device, switch it off (e.g. by pulling the mains plug from
the mains socket outlet) and make sure it is voltage-free. If units are opened or
worked on without authorization, this renders the warranty null and void and
re leases the manufacturer from any liability.
