Avoiding malfunctions
Micro SD card
The ACE 2.0 saves all the data to a micro SD
card. This may only be inserted and removed
when the device is switched off so as to prevent
data loss and malfunctions. The ACE 2.0 has no
recording function if it does not contain a micro
SD card.
Please use only top quality memory cards with
at least 10,000 write cycles (MLC – multi layer
card – type) and a "Class 10" write speed to
prevent errors. Memory cards which have not
been approved must not be used.
The warranty for micro SD cards is
6 months. Incorrect use will void the
warranty.
The card's storage capacity is divided into
various folders by the system: >DRIVING<,
>PARKING< and >IMAGE<. As soon as one
of the folders is full, the oldest recording in the
folder is overwritten by the newest. It is therefore
essential that you backup the data to the ACE
2.0 app or an external storage device as soon as
possible as soon as an event takes place whose
media data (videos and/or photos) you wish to
use. You can also remove the micro SD card
from the device once it has been switched off
to prevent the data being overwritten. If you use
the micro SD card on a computer (if necessary
using the USB adapter for the microSD card
supplied) and then inserted into the camera
again, the micro SD card will be formatted, in
other words all the data on it will be deleted! This
will not happen, however, if the media data are
only copied to the computer.
Install firmware update
As soon as a firmware update is available, the
ACE 2.0 app will request that you install it.

Before installing an update of the ACE
2.0, your smartphone (min. 50 % battery
capacity) must be set to aircraft mode
since otherwise incoming calls could
interfere with or interrupt the update.
After the firmware update the micro SD
card is formatted automatically, in other
words all the data on it will be deleted!
If necessary, back up the media data on
your micro SD card beforehand.
Your personal settings will remaining
place after a firmware update.
