Risk of severe injuries.
Never try to pull the running cut-off
¾
wheel out of the cut as this could
result in kickback.
▸
Remove the machine from the cut.
▸
Lay the machine down on its side.
▸
The leg remaining between both cuts can be
removed using the supplied stripping tool.
▸
Deeper slots in hard material (e.g. concrete)
cannot be cut in one pass.
Maintenance and cleaning
Danger posed by electric current.
Carry out maintenance and cleaning
¾
work on the device only when the
mains plug has been removed.
Dusts from materials can be harmful to
health.
Use a dust mask and safety glasses.
¾
During cutting, particles can be deposited inside the
power tool. This impairs cooling of the power tool.
▸
Regularly and frequently vacuum out all front and
rear ventilation slots.

Overload protection
Safety clutch
The gear unit of the wall chaser includes an auto-
matic safety clutch. This protects the operator against
high torque, which may for example arise due to
tilting of the diamond cut-off wheels when working.
The safety clutch simultaneously protects and relieves
the load on the motor and gear unit of the machine.
▸
If the safety clutch is triggered, immediately switch
off the motor (do not allow the clutch to wear!)
Electronic overload indicator
▸
The electronic signal display [6] lights up.
Machine load is too high!
3
▸
Reduce the forwards feed pressure until the elec-
tronic signal display goes out.
Troubleshooting
Machine not running. The electronic signal
display [6] flashes.
— The restart protection device has tripped.
— If the mains plug is inserted with the machine
switched on, or if the power supply is restored
after an interruption, the machine does not start.
▸
Switch the machine off and on again.
