Model range (U)
The nominal temperature for the (U) model range is
preset when supplied to +1°C (+33.8°F). The process
for changing the nominal temperature is described in
chapter 8.2.
Model range (S)
The nominal temperature for the (S) model range is
preset when supplied to +1°C (+33.8°F) (recommended
value for minced meat mode).
The storage temperatures required for minced meat
may not be guaranteed at other temperatures. We
would advise against changing the nominal value in
minced meat mode.
8.1 Cabinets with a mechanical
temperature controller
Model range (-)
The thermostat is located at the front in the signal
unit.
A control panel is fitted on the front of the cabinets:

Defrost button
The warning light lights up when it is too warm in the
cabinet.
The mains telltale lights up when the cabinet is
connected to mains voltage and the defrost button is
not pressed.
The thermometer continuously displays the average
interior temperature.
The thermostat is used to set the interior
temperature.
When pressed, the defrost button interrupts the
supply of power to the compressor. The mains
telltale goes out at the same time (warning: single-
phase shutdown only!).

To accurately set the temperature required, turn the
thermostat button
clockwise:
for colder temperatures
anticlockwise:
for warmer temperatures
8.2 Switchable cabinets -
model ranges (S) and (U)
The temperature range for minced meat mode is
defined
as
between
(+37.4°F), and the temperature range for freezing mode
is between –30°C (-22.0°F) and –3°C (+26.6°F). The
temperature range for chilling extends between +3°C
(+37.4°F) and +15°C (+59.0°F).
Check the nominal value set by the factory according to
customer requests by briefly pressing the + or - button.
8.2.1 Switching from minced meat mode to
freezing mode
1. To do this, press the plus or minus key for around 5
seconds. The SetP status message and the nominal
value currently set (+1°C) appear flashing on the 7-
segment display.
2. Use the - button to set the nominal value required
for freezing mode (e.g. –21°C (-6°F)). Once the
value required has been reached, release the button
and the nominal value set is saved automatically
after around 5 seconds. The current interior
temperature of the cabinet appears again on the
display.
8.2.2 Switching from freezing mode to
minced meat mode
1. To do this, press the + or – button for around 5
seconds. The SetP status message and the nominal
value currently set (-21°C) appear flashing on the 7-
segment display.
2. Use the + button to set the nominal value of +1°C
(+33.8°F) for minced meat mode. Once the value
required has been reached, release the button and
the nominal value set is saved automatically after
around 5 seconds. The current interior temperature
of the cabinet appears again on the display.
To ensure the correct temperatures for storing
minced meat, the nominal value for minced meat
mode must be set to +1°C.
