Anti-freezing window
Chainsaw operation at temperatures of -25°C - 0°C in
high humidity heights can result in ice formation inside
the carburetor, and this can cause the engine's output
power to be reduced or the engine not to run smoothly.
This appliance has therefore been equipped with an
anti-freeze window at the top right of the carburetor
holder to allow hot air to be drawn into the combustion
chamber and thus prevent ice from formation.
Under normal circumstances, the anti-freeze window
should be set to closed position.
However, when there is a possibility of ice, the anti-
freeze window should be set to open position before
use.
Continuing to use the appliance in anti-freeze mode
even when temperatures rise, may result in the engine
starting incorrectly or not operating at its normal speed,
and for this reason you should always be sure to set the
anti-freeze window to closed position if there is no
danger of freezing.
Guide bar
When the guide bar is dismounted, remove all dirt from
the slots.
Add a little bit of grease to the bearing hole.

Oil inspection window
Dismount the guide bar regularly to check that the oil
inspection window is clean.
Checking and changing the spark plug
To ensure proper engine operation, the spark plug
should be clean and with adequate gap between the
electrodes.
There are several factors that can affect the operation
of the spark plug: incorrect carburetor adjustment and
fuel mixture, and dirty air filter. These factors cause
accumulations in the spark plug electrodes, which leads
to operating problems and difficult start-ups.
If the chainsaw is running low or shows difficulties in
starting, check the spark plug before making any further
inspections.
1. Remove the spark plug cap, unscrew the spark plug
with the supplied wrench and check that it is clean. If
dirty, clean the soot with a brush;
2. If the spark plug is "wet", with excess fuel, place a
clean cloth over the spark plug hole and pull the
recoil starter several times without the spark plug;
3. Measure the distance between the electrodes with
appropriate tools. The distance should be between
0.6-0.7 mm. If necessary, bend the electrode until
enough clearance is reached;
4. Install the spark plug with your hand to prevent
damage to the thread and tighten it to compress the
sealing washer, using the wrench provided;
5. If the spark plug does not produce any sparks, replace
it;
A loose spark plug can overheat and damage the
engine.
Always use the type of spark plug recommended
by the manufacturer (VIVELA5510). An improper
use of a spark plug can damage the cylinder.
