RAY - TUNNY
•
In any case do not use the pump with aggressive liquids or with abrasive substances (with a
grinding/honing effect
•
Protect the pump against frost
•
Protect the pump against operating in dry state
•
Keep the pump well away from children
•
Check if the appliance is efficient and free of faults and damage. Check operation of the mobile
parts, any failures/breakages, correct installation of all parts and all the other conditions which could
negatively influence correct operation of the appliance. Any troubles on the machine and/or individual
parts must be repaired expertly by Specialised technician .
4. INSTALLATION
The electric pumps must be placed as near as possible to the water level, to obtain the shortest possible
suction route, thus reducing load losses. If the installation is meant to be permanent, you can anchor the
electric pump to the ground, using the holes on the support base. Install the self-priming pump in a dry place
protected against possible floods.
5. START-UP
1. INSTALLATION OF PIPES
The suction pipe must resist pressure and remain submerged by about 30 cm below water level, to prevent
the formation of whirlpools inevitably causing air to enter the pump interior.
If the suction route is longer than 7 meters, we advise you to use a pipe with a larger diameter than the
pump suction intake.
The unions and connections must be completely watertight.
We advise you to eliminate curves as much as possible, making sure that the entire suction route has a
minimum inclination of 2%. The delivery pipe must have a diameter equal to or greater than that of the
pump outlet mouth. Do not, on any account, place the suction or delivery pipes above the pump.
2. ELECTRONIC CONNECTION
The electric installation must have a multiple separation system, with contacts opening by at least 3 mm.
3. CONTROLS BEFORE FINAL START-UP
•
Check if the mains voltage and frequency values are in line with those indicated on the technical
specifications label.
•
Make sure that the pump shaft rotates freely.
•
Fill the pump body with water, slightly unscrewing the relevant priming plug.
•
Check if the motor rotation direction coincides with that indicated on the ventilator cover
•
This pump should never be dry operated
4. STARTING
•
Open all the gate valves of the suction and delivery circuits.
•
Connect the electric power switch and wait until automatic priming occurs. If a foot valve is installed,
priming is instantaneous.
•
Check, through the ventilator cover, if the motor rotates clockwise.
•
Check absorbed current
•
If the motor does not work or if the pump does not extract water, see the troubleshooting table in point
8 below.
