Heating/Cooling Function

The Basis Wireless 868 MHz can be ex-
tended with the heating/cooling mod-
ule. This allows the 868 MHz Wireless
System to control heating and cooling
in single-circuit systems with central, ex-
ternal switching.
Function „Cooling blocking"
For the wireless system with the heat-
ing/cooling module (AB HK 4000) it is
possible to deactivate, or to block, in-
dividual zones from active cooling op-
eration. The heating zone 6 (AB 4071-
6) or the heating zones 11 and 12 (AB
4071-12), are blocked by default when
the devices are delivered. This state can
be adjusted to fit the requirements of
a system with the following procedure.

System Reset
After a system reset has been per-

Intended use
The Basis Wireless 868 MHz is an in-
telligent connection unit for wireless
single room control. The Basis Wireless
868 MHz is used in combination with
system components (Actuator, Wireless
Thermostat, etc.) in living, office, and
industrial buildings. Any conversions or
changes are only admissible after co-
ordination with the manufacturer. The
manufacturer cannot be held liable for
damages arising from the improper use
of the Basis Wireless 868 MHz.
Authorised specialists
The installation of the 868 MHz Wireless
system presupposes specialist knowl-
edge in the field of electric engineer-
ing, as acquired in acknowledged jobs
which require training. For the prepa-
ration of the manual, a state of expe-
rience corresponding with a technician
qualification or partial qualification
in the field of electric engineering has
been presupposed. Therefore, basic in-
formation is not described separately.
Installation and start-up may only be
performed by authorised, specialised
staff with the qualifications mentioned
above. For this, the currently applying
national and international regulations
for the erection of electrical systems
AB 4071-6 / AB 4071-12
have to be satisfied. The manufacturer
cannot be held liable for damages due
to improper installations.
Sources of danger
Prior to any opening, the Basis Wireless
must be shut off. Only use a dry cloth
for cleaning purposes. The Basis Wire-
less must not be cleaned with water or
solvents (alcohol, acetone. etc.).
Emergency
Immediately shut off the Basis Wireless
by pulling the plug from the outlet, or
switching off the fuse.
