Introduction
To get the most out of your new circular saw,
please read through these instructions and
the enclosed safety instructions before use.
We also recommend that you save the
instructions in case you need to refer to them
at a later date.

Special safety instructions

Check that the motor's vent holes are not
blocked.
Always hold the saw with both hands during
use, and never use it while standing on a
ladder. Always use an approved working
platform when working at heights.
Never stop the saw blade by pressing against
the saw, or by applying pressure to the side
of the saw blade.
Never use saw blades made of high-speed
steel.
Always use the correct type of saw blade for
the job at hand.

Never use bent saw blades, or saw blades
which have teeth missing.
Never use saw blades that are too large or
too small.
Never use saw blades whose maximum
speed is less than the tool's maximum RPM.
Check that the direction speci� ed on the
blade matches the direction of rotation of
the motor.
Always wear protective gloves when
handling the blade.
Never put your hand under the saw or try to
remove material from the working area while
the blade is rotating.
Never place your � ngers or hand on the item
being cut in front of, behind or under the saw
while it is running.
Always keep the spindle and � anges used for
assembling the saw blades clean.
Never use the saw if the blade guard is not
working correctly. The guard should close

automatically when the saw is not in use, and
must NEVER be � xed open.
Never allow the blade to be in contact with
the item to be cut – or other objects – when
starting the saw.
Check that there are no nails, screws or other
objects that could damage the blade in the
item to be cut, and that there are no similar
obstructions in the surface beneath the item.
Never mount the saw in a vice or similar with
the blade uppermost to cut items in this way.
This could result in very serious accidents.
Never remove the saw from the item while
the blade is rotating, and never put it down
before the blade has come to a complete
stop with the guard fully closed.
