5.
Use the handle to lift the upper cover of the panini grill. Place food on the lower

WARNING: Do not use metal utensils on this product, as they will scratch and
damage the plates' non-stick coating.
6.
Use the handle to lower the top cover and slide the height adjustment setter to the
desired height.
7.
Slowly lower the top cover until it rests on top of the selected height setting.
8.
The heat emitted from the upper plate will melt or cook ingredients such as cheese
or mushrooms.
9.
The melting process should take approximately 3–5 minutes (may vary depending
on the type and temperature of food).
NOTES:
Melt or cook time will differ from food types and thickness.
Foods should be cooked thoroughly before consumption.
Do not cook or defrost frozen food. All food must be completely defrosted
before cooking it with this product.
The height-adjustment setting is designed to allow you to adjust the height of
the upper plate and can be moved to the desired level at any time.
10. When the food is melted or cooked as desired, lift the handle to open the top cover,
then remove the food using the utensils. If more cooking is required at this time,
close the plates to conserve heat.
11. Repeat steps 3–5 until cooking is complete, reapplying cooking oil if necessary.
12. Close top cover and reset height-adjustment setting.
13. Turn temperature control dial to "Min" and unplug the power cord from the electrical
outlet. Pull directly on the plug—do not pull on the power cord.
14. When the unit has completely cooled, clean and dry the panini grill prior to storage.
NOTE: Ensure the drip tray underneath the panini grill is cleaned before storage.
(see CLEANING and CARE)
TO USE AS A CONTACT GRILL
(TO COOK BURGERS, STEAK, POULTRY, BACON, GRILL VEGETABLES, ETC.):
NOTE: The panini grill should be unplugged during this setup.
1.
To use as an open grill, raise the upper plate by lifting the handle with one hand
while sliding the locking latch towards the handle with your other hand.
2.
Push the handle back until the handle rests flat, directly on the counter or table.
The upper plate should now be completely at the same level as the bottom
plate—creating one large, leveled cooking surface.
