Connect the aerial cable to the receiver aerial input.
4.3 TV connection

Connect the receiver (HDMI output) and TV set (HDMI input) using the HDMI cable.
If the TV set is properly equipped, it will switch automatically to HDMI input as soon as the digital re-
ceiver is turned on.

4.4 HiFi/surround amplifi er
To obtain optimum sound quality, the digital receiver can be connected to the HiFi/surround amplifi er.
4.4.1 Digital connection

In case the amplifi er is equipped with an appropriate electrical input, connect the electrical
AUDIO OUT DIGITAL socket to the amplifi er electrical or optical input.
Depending on the station, sampling rates of 32, 44.1 and 48 kHz are available.
The input also provides the Dolby Digital signal, if transmitted.
4.5 USB port
The USB port serves for updating software, displaying images and playing music and fi lms.
5 First installation
At the fi rst start of the device, the AutoInstall installation assistant is displayed in the startup window.
The installation assistant makes it possible to easily confi gure the most important settings of the di-
gital receiver.
Each step of the installation comes with an explanation of possible settings.
The fi rst installation can be interrupted in the installation assistant startup window by pressing the
red function key.
The device starts with a standard default programme.
The chosen confi guration can be confi rmed during the following installation steps by pressing the gre-
en function key. Then the user can proceed to the next step.
Pressing the red function key makes it possible to return to the previous installation step and correct
any incorrect settings.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
Language
> At the start up of installation assistant, the language selection window is displayed.
Local settings
> Use the arrow keys to select the country where the device is used.
The selection aff ects the set up of time zone and sorting of programme list.
