7.14.5 Subtitles
If subtitles are available, an appropriate message will appear.
If the Subtitles function is active, the subtitles are displayed automatically, provided that they are ava-

If subtitles are available only in other languages or broadcast through teletext, they can be activated
manually in the following way:
> Press the Options button (several times, if necessary) below the Text box until the table with the se-
lection of available text languages appears.
> Select the appropriate language/teletext page, using the up/down arrow keys.
> Confi rm by pressing OK.
Subtitles are displayed.
Remember that the function is only available when the subtitles are broadcast.
7.14.6 Image zoom
This function allows the user to display 4:3 programmes on the 16:9 TV screen both in their original
and in zoom formats. The same applies to 16:9 programmes that are not broadcast as such (no 16:9
symbol in the information banner). An important precondition for the zoom function is setting the di-
gital receiver to 16:9 mode and the possibility of receiving 16:9 signal by the TV set via scart socket.
> Press the Options button.
The Sound Selection appears on the screen.
> Pressing the blue function key Zoom several times allows the user to set diff erent zoom factors.
7.15 Electronic programme guide (EPG)
The digital receiver is equipped with electronic programme guide which makes it possible to display
information about individual or several channels on the screen.
The user can quickly review active programmes or the programmes of the current or following day.
EPG functions enable:
- displaying information about the programme content on the screen;
- selecting programmes that will be automatically activated upon start;
- programming recording time;
- searching programmes according to a category;
- searching programmes according to a keyword.
7.15.1 Loading EPG data
Information about the programmes is updated by the device during software update. The device has
to be in the Standby mode. If the device is on, the function will not be performed. The time of the lo-
ading process depends on the number of loaded programmes and in certain circumstances can stop
and start again by itself.
The device can display max. seven days in advance. When the volume of data is greater, the period gets
shortened together with the increase of the number of channels in the electronic programme guide.
The user can decide which channels are to be found in the electronic programme guide by selecting
them in the "EPG/SFI" menu.
