INDICATIONS
Foot-raising paresis
WARNING
In the case of sensitive skin or when at risk of skin ulcerations and
infections, such as in the case of diabetes or peripheral vascular disease,
caution is needed and you should consult your physician before using
the product.
FITTING THE BASIC VERSION
The Foot-Up basic version can only be positioned and used in lace-
up shoes.
• Measure the circumference of the ankle around the malleoli
(Figure A).
• Detach the inlay from the ankle strap by pressing the button in the
middle of the quick-acting closure.
• Apply the ankle strap with the narrow Velcro strip at the botttom and
the quickacting closure at the front. In doing this place the ankle strap
above the widest part of the ankle. Fasten the ankle strap tightly, but
do not constrict the ankle (Figure B).
• Place the inlay between the tongue of the shoelaces. Then pull the
elastic strap between the two lace lines (Figure C). By pulling the inlay
further in the direction of the front of the foot more support is
provided when raising the foot. Make sure the elastic strap is also
pulled between the lace lines further down the foot.
• Connect the ankle strap and the inlay by pushing the two parts of the
quick-acting closure together (Figure D).
FITTING THE SHOELESS VERSION
• Measure the circumference of the foot immediately behind the ball of
the foot (Figure E).
• Apply the ankle strap with the narrow Velcro strip at the botttom and
the quickacting closure at the front. In doing this place the ankle strap
above the widest part of the ankle. Fasten the ankle strap tightly, but
do not constrict the ankle (Figure F).
• Place the shoeless bandage immediately behind the ball of the foot,
so that the button rests on top of the foot (Figure G).
• Connect the ankle strap and the inlay by pushing the two parts of the
quick-acting closure together (Figure H).
WASHING & CARE
The liner should be washed by hand using a mild detergent and 30 °C
(86°F) cold water. Hang to dry. Do not put the Foot-Up in a washing
machine or dryer.
