SETTING CHASE DEPTH
Set the chase depth before starting to work and with the device switched off.
● Move the lock lever (6) back to loosen it.
● For greater cutting depth move the front handle (5) backward, to reduce depth move it forward.
● Setting correct depth is easier with depth gauge and scale located on the blade body.
● Once the correct depth has been set, tighten the lock lever (6) by moving it forward.
Check condition of the blade before using the power tool. Do not use blades with dents, cracks or
other damages. Replace worn out blade with a new one before operation. After work is finished
always switch the power tool off and wait until the work tool comes to complete stop. Only then you
can put the power tool away.
● Cutting blade must be installed properly and must be free to rotate.
● Never overload the wall chaser. Overloading and too strong pressure may cause dangerous
cracks in the cutting blades.
● Never hit processed material with working tool.
● Never use blades for wood cutting designed for circular sawing machines. Use of such blades
often results in the power tool kickback, losing control and may cause operator body injury.
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
The mains voltage must match the voltage on the rating plate of the wall chaser. Hold the power tool
with both hands when starting and during operation.
The wall chaser features switch that protects against unintentional starting up.
● Press the switch lock button (1) (fig. C).
● Press the switch button (2) (fig. C).
● Release pressure on the switch button (2) to stop the wall chaser.
WORKING WITH WALL CHASER
The wall chaser is designed only for straight cuts. Making curved or round cuts is forbidden. The tool
is designed for dry operation only.
Before starting to work examine the place where the operation will take place, check for hidden
plumbing, electrical and gas installations. You can find it with special device for wire localization.
The wall chaser is equipped with a soft start feature. Wait a while after starting the wall chaser until
the blade reaches its top speed, only then you can proceed with your work. When working, do not
use the switch of the wall chaser to switch it on or off. Switch button may only be used when the wall
chaser is away from the processed material.
MAKING A CHASE
● Set the cutting depth.
● Put the rear guide roller (3) against the wall (cutting blades should be above the wall surface) (fig. H).
● Start the wall chaser and wait until cutting blades reach full rotational speed.
● Gradually lower the wall chaser and plunge the cutting blades into the wall (during this move rear
guide roller should have contact with the wall surface).
● As soon as the front guide roller (4) rests on the wall, continue with the cut and move the wall chaser
forward and away from you (in direction opposite to rotation of cutting blades).
● End the cut in reversed starting sequence: by lifting the front guide roller and the cutting blade. Keep
the rear guide roller against the wall at all times.
● After switching off allow the cutting blade to stop completely, only then you can put the wall chaser
away.
● The chase is fully emptied and does not require chiselling.
After switching the wall chaser off, do not brake the rotating blade by pressing it against processed
material.
